The Transatlantic Pals (TAPS) girlfriends are off again!

Who are TAPS?  We are a group of friends who live in the UK and USA who have been taking trips together over many years. It allows us the opportunity to renew our friendships across the miles and have a great holiday at the same time.

We are : Nancy - CA, USA, Jennifer - AZ, USA, Louise - Northampton, England, Ann - Kansas, USA, Sheila - Lhanbryde, Scotland, and Anne - Cardiff, Wales.

 

The original group were Nancy, Jennifer, Louise and Ann, friends since high school in Indiana. When Jennifer and Louise went to teach in Scotland, they met Sheila, who joined the group on our England trip in 2000. Here we are in Paris in 2005.

In 2008, with Sheila at the wheel, the grand road trip tour of Scotland started here in Llanbryde.

 The group in Los Angeles in 2010. With Nancy at the wheel this time, they drove up the coast to San Francisco.

Jennifer met Anne in England when they taught together. In 2012, Anne joined the group in Amsterdam, and TAPS, Trans Atlantic Pals, was complete.


Now in 2015, four of us – Sheila, Anne, Nancy and our "Sun", Jennifer– head to Ireland, to honor seventy years of life (for two of us) and many travels to come.
